# Weather Station Notes A small rooftop weather station, built over one winter and left running since. These are the working notes: where it sits, what it measures, how the readings get off the roof, and the handful of things that turned out to matter more than the hardware did. ## The site The station sits on a flat roof about eleven metres up, clear of the parapet on three sides. Height matters less than exposure — a sensor tucked behind a wall reads the wall, not the weather. The one compromise is the western aspect, where a taller building interrupts the wind after about four in the afternoon.

Three things hand an address to another app, and only when you ask: a link you click in a document and Help > Privacy Policy open your browser, and Help > Report a Problem opens your mail app with our address and a subject line naming the version filled in.
